Have recently purchased a Pegasus 700 Sailing Cruiser and would be grateful if any owners of similar boats could give me details about the out board well some boats are built with.
My boat has a trunking in aft end of cockpit but no hole has been cut through the hull.
Is it now just a case of cutting a suitable sized hole through the hull and mounting a board across the cockpit to clamp the engine onto?

Yes you need to fit a good size bit of wood across the cockpit to fit the outboard onto, wood bolts onto angle of metal which is bolted (4bolts) thru lockers, back up with ply in lockers.
When the hole is cut, there will be small gap between hull and well moulding, which will need sealing.
I am sending you a PM.

I believe - but someone will correct me if I have got it wrong - that the Pegasus 700 was developed by the same builders out of the last version of the Pandora, the Pandora 700. You could do worse than have a look at the message board on the Pandora Owners Association website, where the question of re-opening outboard wells (and closing them back up again) has come up a few times.

There are pictures of another Pegasus here showing an inboard engine mounted, as far as I can make out, on the plug for the outboard well.

This is the outboard well in my (older version) Pandora - might give you some ideas.

Thanks for the info, Iwill look on the Pandora Owners web site as you suggested. Looking at your photo's the cockpit of your boat does look very much like my Pegasus.

Cheers.
