You forgot the antifoul/varnish stained old fishermans/sailing smock and pink canvas trousers, of the "old gaffers" Must be top of the pile surely!!

OK! I admit to the sailing smock! But god forbid! Not the pink trousers!!

Putting in my ten cents (pence) worth from the west side of the "pond", this has got to be the funniest thread I have seen since I stared looking over your shoulders ! Keep it up, guys.

What about the bluey greeny ones? Good for not showing up the oil too much!
Nowt wrong with sailing/fishing smocks a lot of cornish folk wear them unless you count the vee necked ones with the rusticy tie up chord in any other colour than navy blue which screams tourist trying to blend in (well down in the islands at least)!
Ps defintly the more manky the smock the better;-)

Yes!! I don`t doubt it, but you (I`m lead to believe) are a lassie!! Not accepatable wear for us roughy toughy Northsea tigers!!

Where do they get those pink troos? I've seen them on men's legs but never in a shop. Do their wives knock them up on long winter's nights?

<hr width=100% size=1>

Washed out breton red!! As beloved by old gaffers, never seen any in brittany!
Or knitted out of re-cycled pink knickers!! as someone has suggested!

Re: Girly

I wondered where all them frocks went. Now it's clear... transformed into culottes of a nautical nature.

\'Fess up time.

Oh God it's fess up time, I have to admit to owning both a blue suit (used when doing all the grubby jobs) but also, and God help me here, a White Lab coat with a blue coller for those jobs that would distinguish me from the minions working under me?

There I've said it!

I hate this forum for making me own up to my past indiscretions<s>.

Re: \'Fess up time.

Not forgeting the 'defaced' boiler suit which is available in a vast range of colours and is far easier to get hold of than an equivelant ensign. It is to be noted that this type seams to increase in popularity at anti-fouling time. Mick;-)

<<<us roughy toughy Northsea tigers>>>

Tigers, must mean stripey overalls and in common wear with the other frequently found example of platform wildlife, the jail bird?
