I think PC Plotter may have gone bust. I have tried to call them several times this week and only get an answer phone which doesn't sound too corporate. I have checked the number. I have e mailed them but get an unable to deliver message.

Try contacting Navionics Uk (they have a web page I think.)

They would know if PCPlotter are still about as PCPlotter were on the Navionics Show Stand last year.

Best of luck.

Who makes the one you refer to?

I have just purchased a C Map PC Plotter which uses (now finally) furuno format cards.

There are a couple of issues that I have discovered that I will sort out today - I hope - at the LIBS with Furuno & C Map.

I intend to post some remarks next week.

For what its worth, I have been using the product for last 5 years admittedly on the older Navionics charts, but its been an excellent product. I like the full size Navionics chart which covers my whole cruising ground in one chart.

Good Luck

The company WAS PCPLOTTER, problem was like Novell (for the techies amongst us) is that they had a good product but crap marketing so not many people bought it.

Shame as it had some features still rare today eg could put a route in and date of departure and it would calculate best time to leave to get the best tidal vector.

It also had tidal vectors on chart which you could roll forward an hour or back.

I once did a trip from Ramsgate to Niewport in Belgium, PCPlotter said 6hr48mins and it was indeed 6h50mins from breakwater to breakwater.

Pretty damn good.
