3/ this big flappy thing - what do I do with it?

4/these hooky things on chains - which is the best one to use?

Dylan

Oh brilliant. post a load of interesting questions, and then leave us all hanging on the answers....!!

ooh

let me help

1/Wakes - aren't they lovely?

2/gen sets - how high up on the bow should they be?

3/ Gladioli? what colour is best?

4/ Marina Etiquette

5/ Piping on white upholstery - blue, red or maroon?

any mobos care to suggest some topics for us flappy blokes?

You forgot the "Correct" colour of underwater lights, it takes up hours of posts on the MoBo forum every year.

I agree PBO has lost its' way, but with sadly few people willing to do any practical work on their boats now - recession or not - I think we are harking back to a golden age and our lost youth; hope I'm wrong.

Good luck to Sarah, I doubt the magazine direction was all her idea.

I bought an Albin Vega last year and keep it in Emsworth.Being used to old wooden boats that needed rebuilding or fitting out a steel hull I look around my little boat and all I can think of to do is err clean the decksand puff the cushons(scatter)It all seems quite complete and I am sure it would be beyond me to "do" anything ;well maybe a pencil rack.I must admit It would be nice to have something wrong, not too wrong that I could repair. The olny real thing to be done is the painting of the hull as the gel coat is getting thin but I just know it will be a bodge so as I dont see it whilst sailing its ok;in fact it gives the boat an air of having been well travelled like Around America!!!!!!......without going out of the harbour.

Err....they did! Funnily enough, the truth is that she is leaving to go freelance. No cloaks or daggers I'm afraid, personal choice. Boring I know.

I've been in magazine publishing for 20 plus years and I can't remember anyone voluntarily going freelance before. Not in a specialist field anyway. Shame, I liked what she was doing or I wouldn't have subscribed.

Snooks - you'll never work as a Sun journo accepting things at face value!

And failing investgative urges always remember "drop the dead donkey".

You have got to be kidding! At the moment I have three boats and five dinghies (don't ask). I NEVER stop doing practical work on them 12 months of the year. I can barely afford that - let alone paying someone else to do any work.

I am sure I am not alone!

Sarah was a talented Editor in the completely wrong place. Nothing wrong with saying that the vast majority of woman cannot grasp the pleasure of working on boats which was the core principle of PBO. Now with David at the helm we should see things start to fly again. Great news all round.
