It's a loss leader, your supposed to then buy Razzle on impulse which has a big profit margin and high volume sales, Kleenex are just to the right as well.

Also saw it bundled with MOTORBOATS MONTHLY at £5.95 for both in WHS. I guess times are especially hard for casual mag purchases and it's important to maintain sales volumes to keep the advertisers happy.

These shops are very cunning in the way they display things next to one another. In Lidl the other day I saw welding electrodes right next to bras, and found myself wondering whether more people shopping for a bra would impulsively buy welding electrodes or the other way round.
