Antares 760 sliding door. One set of rollers good and spinning freely, one set seized and flat spotted. I’ve got the rollers spinning again but they will always stick on the flat spot. Anyone any idea where to get a replacement roller set (which doesn’t cost the value of the boat ?‍).

Assuming yours are the same as mine, if you have not already found, they just prize out of the frame.

But as they nolonger supply direct you may have to find a stockist once you have trawled their extensive catalogue to see if they do anything like it
But where are you, as I could turn up a couple of brass wheels at a push, if you are near to me. However, the rise & fall mechanism may also be shot.
Failing that

On my Princess 35, with a white aluminium frame ,the door rollers originally used , proved to be identical in dimensions to those commonly found for sale on Ebay.
Prices vary considerably due to quality, but even the cheapest ones do last if you lubricate them with decent amounts of grease.
The real pain is locating the hidden bolts and dismantling/removing the door to get at the rollers.
You probably will have to adjust the door rollers to minimum height both top and bottom in order to release the door from the frame.

A Tip..... if you have a really old door and the bolts holding the alloy frame together have seized , you may/will destroy the threads in the door aluminium frame on extracting those bolts, especially at the bottom.
One may find that decking screws ,decent quality green beasties are long enough and hard enough to cut a new thread in the soft alloy to save the day and hold the frame together, a dab of white paint conceals all.
Or you can buy a complete new set of doors.
Do know that the Princess 330 can suffer the same fate, but that the door rollers are of a slightly different design.

Thanks for the info, I’m in the Isle of Man so not really near anyone except Mr Googler.

I got the door off quite easily following a thread on this type of boat a few months ago. I’ll have a look on eBay and also try a couple of local glazing companies to see if they recognise them.

Do what I did for a client with very elderly patio doors with same issue, swap out the fixed bar on the 'non slider' so the totally unused door from new becomes the opener.
Nice idea but I’d be walking straight into the interior seating. No locking mechanism on the other door either.

Worth mentioning as a cheeky fix, the one i did did have locking handles either side. If its like a traditional patio door they should lift out, they will potentially be heavy so could be 2 man lift and they may be fitted with anti lifting blocks in the top of the frame which will unscrew when doors slid back

I got new roller sets for my Anteres 10.80 through Jamie at yachts.co Swansea. Cost over £100 including vat and carriage from France. Had a devil of a job getting the door out but very satisfying feel as the door slides smoothly

These look similar, I’ll need to measure the originals.

Although yours is not the same design/supplier as on my Antares 760, my fixed door appears to be identical to the sliding one, other than the latch, and appears to have the same rollers on the bottom. Worth checking yours as then you just need to remove the fixed door and swap the rollers.
