Any of your readers planning a trip thru PNG waters should visit the D'Ancastreax (spelling?) and Louisiade Archipelego if they wish to experience the last untouched bit of paradise in the world. No money needed, just T shirts, pens, fish hooks etc etc. all trading for crayfish/lobster, fruit and veges. Catch all your own fish and dive in some of the best reef on the planet. For info on the area and on westward legs thru Torres Strait(tides and radio freqs.) to Indon, Darwin or Phuket, feel free to contact myself at the Royal Papua Yacht Club, Port Moresby regarding anchorages, charts, reading material, mud maps etc. The RPYC has a beaut marina with berths for visiting yachties, slipping facilities, chandlery, marine engineering of all descriptions to support the local oil exploration and trawler fleets. No boat too big. And we have great hospitality including free membership to bonafide visitors, hot showers, restaurant and great views. But the message is, don't overlook Milne Bay. In a few years it will all be 'westernised' and loose its unique charm. Contact the yacht club direct on 'rpyc@datec.com.pg'
