Any Pascal devotees out there? I have bought a lining kit and any advice about fitting this would be appreciated. The instructions that come with the stove are not too clear- or perhaps I am just thick!. I have also bought a lighter "torch" for my Paskel Atkey stove and am wondering how to fit/use it. It consists of a stainless tube with a large wick in it- I can see that this is the bit that you light having soaked it in meths, but how do I fix it to the stove?- it must go in the aparture that the ash can goes on- on my stove with a bayonet mount. It- the torch, that is- has a L- shaped bracket about 2" long welded to the bottom, with a hole in the short return of the L. Any help gratefully recieved.

You may get more authoritative replies, but in case it helps, we had one of these many years ago. As I recall, the lighting wick was simply fixed (permanently) inside the ash can. We took the can off, soaked the wick in meths, lit it, and refitted the ash can. The wick got full of ash of course, but that didn't seem to matter, it still soaked up meths for lighting. By the by, the stove heats up far far quicker if you blow air into the adjustable air vent. We made a metal device to funnel air from a small fan. Highly effective but don't leave it too long, the whole stove will start glowing a nice cherry red!
