I am looking to touch up the rusty bits on my cherished 2GM. The Yanmar paint appears to cost an arm and a leg at north of 30 quid: https://www.frenchmarine.com/product/Yanmar-Paint-001-Silver-Metallic-Touch-Up-Paint-2492-732
I have wire brushed, degreased and rust converted the rusty bits now, and I read on here that Hammerite primer is a good base for the engine enamel so I'll get some of that to go over the rust converter (Hydrate 80). Has anyone got any experience with cheaper 'compatible' engine enamels, such as the below?

My gut is to take it on the chin and pay the £30 plus for the Yanmar stuff on the basis of the quality is remembered long after the cost is forgotten...? (not that I spend that long staring starry eyed at my engine...)
And how on earth do you spray these small patches in? Lots and lots of masking tape and plastic sheeting to avoid overspray? Is there anywhere I should avoid spraying? (around bolts and the like?)
