Paint for concrete that is often under water ?

I need to mark safety lines on the edge of a walkway and have tried the road marking paint from a spray can, but it is wearing off after a month.

What's the best answer that does not involve thermoplastic road marking material please ?

However, if large quantities are needed then outdoor house paint e.g. Sandtex, Finetex(*) or any other similar outdoor stuff. Price per litre makes them probably the best value for money.

(*) This is what I use as non-slip for the deck of my boat. It lasts for several years and my boat is afloat practically all the year round. She only goes on the hard for three weeks each alternate year. IIRC around €23 per 5-litre tub, mixed in the colour of your choice.

I have just purchased some roof paint to paint the hull and deck of my Ferro boat.

We also get lots of rain and sun with high UV

I would ask marine paint manufacturers for advice. Whatever does for ferro-cement hulls should be ok.

I know little about paint technology, but could preparation of the surface and sealing it before painting, as one does with surfaces before applying Sandtex-type paints, be what is missing?
