Is the P 50 the biggest for cruising the uk , where it can get in most marinas and not to big for two.

I’d say you can go up to about a P54 before you start to get seriously restricted on berth availability. I guess it depends also on where you are doing your boating. We manage a P54 easily with just the two of us.

As Moonstruck says, the limit will be the size that you can fit into a marina.
Handling gets easier, the bigger the boat gets.
SWMBO and I can easily handle our P67 on our own - and we do.- this year for example popping across to Mallorca (100+ mikes) for 10 days or so - mostly on anchor.
I would like to think that we (SWMBO and I) could also handle up to about 80 feet without help but we have never tried it.
So it all really comes down to space in the marinas - as Moonstruck says P54 seems to fit UK marinas - in the Med everything is bigger.

Interesting - we have come to the conclusion that mid-thirties (ish) in feet is the optimal compromise between comfort and being able to get in virtually anywhere without worrying whether a hammerhead will be free etc. We have been in some tight moorings where they accommodated us but our previous Broom 41 would have been a non-starter. I always remember a friend saying that he regretted selling his 38 foot Princess in favour of a 52 footer for that very reason. I guess location in the UK might be an influencing factor.
