Oyster Heritage 37 and Oyster 37

Has anyone traveled across the ocean with the Oyster 37 (ior model)? I would like to know from owners if it can make transatlantic trips with relative comfort.

Comfort is relative - a very basic IOR Oyster 37 would probably seem quite luxurious (and fast) to somebody who is accustommed to (eg) a Hurley 22.
This Oyster 37 is (in a way) similar to a scaled up version of the UFO 34, and I know of a UFO 34 that sailed from here (Barbados) back to the UK some years ago very happily.
It all depends on the condition of the boat - pretty much any boat with sails can cross the Atlantic - all sorts of weird and wonderful sailing craft have done this successfully in the past, including a steam boiler (with a sailing rig, keel and rudder added), an 18' Hobie Cat, some very tiny boats as well - but they would not be very 'comfortable'. I would think that if an Oyster 37 is in good condition, and she is well equipped, you should have a reasonably comfortable passage transatlantic with her.

I'm interested in an Oyster Heritage 37 but I've come across a few places that mention not to confuse the Oyster Heritage 37 with the Oyster 37. Are these indeed two separate yachts or have I just come across some misinformation?

thevheratage is more a cruising yacht the oy ster 37, is designed to the IOR One ton rule, i had one for 20 years , a wonderful yacht to sail, very responsive & fantastic to windward, i aslo sailed solo often, a good under deck auto pilot a great help, especially when tacking, very predictable under motor, i replaced the original perkins4108, with a superb nanni 4150HE, rated @37.5hp & an excellent replacement along with the PRM120 HYDRAULIC GEARBOX

I found one in very good condition and I'm thinking about buying it! The only thing that worries me is that it's a racing sailboat and maybe it's not that comfortable when sailing in rough seas.

we sailed our yacht in the southern north sea in over 40 kts, no issues, we did have a goon auto pilot doing most of the settring, but did hull spd all the way home, the 3 ton lead keel helped
