I bought a long shaft Honda yesterday from a local dealer, 5HP with charging circuit. Or at least I thought I did...two months delivery. Rang Honda they confirmed the earliest delivery date as end of August. Laughable!

Well it would be if I had an engine....

I'm left with Suzuki? Or all the others. I haven't bought an outboard for years so I thought I'd seek some advice.

Please save all the sail onto the buoy comments.......Thanks

Boat's a Vivacity 20 B/K

PS, How does Honda have no 5hp long shafts in UK in early July?

buy a tohatsu same engine on the smaller lumps as the yams and suzuki etc, but cheaper. Their 4 strokes are nearly as good as honda, and their spares are reasonably proced as well.

I am nowt but a very satisfied 3.5 hp Tohatsu owner

The Yamaha 4-strokes have an excellent reputation, and are more fuel efficient and less polluting than any 2-stroke engine. The F6 has an 80W charging circuit, the F4 does not. Tech specs are here...

They come in a variety of shaft lengths.
