Outboard on Mirror

Should be fine, I used to use an old Evinrude 2hp and it was ok. A longshaft would be bulkier to handle, heavier and a pain coming into shallow water, slips etc.

Sure to be fine, assuming the transom isn't rotted or underweight. It wouldn't be hard to reinforce, anyway.

I thought hard about a Mirror myself in recent months, in part for the fun of using the 3.5hp Tohatsu I already have.

I believe the video shows a 4hp.

Traditionally you used a short shaft Seagull on your Mirror but oars were a must 🤣. Also a good idea to cut a short centreboard to go in the casing. I know a merc3,3 2 stroke works as well. A copy of mirror mania on board of course.

I used to use a Seagull 40 plus (standard length) on a Mirror.
Any small 15" (381mm) shaft outboard should be suitable.
