Outboard engine choke? Any experienced outboarders on here?

Push in and try to start. After a few seconds (No more than 3 seconds) stop pressing or you will flood the engine. If it is flooded try and start it with no pressing.

Before you even try to start are you squeezing the primer bulb a few (say 5 - 6) times to make sure there is fuel up at the carbs. This is more important than any choke.

On older outboards especially 2 strokes they seldom need any choke
