Risible. How do all those anchor tests come up with different breaking out loadings for different anchors?

How about a prepared set up, with a chain hook in the middle of a length of snubber line, and with a large loop spliced in each end? Loops over the cleats, chain hook onto the chain, then let out enough chain so that the snubber lines take the strain.

That's what we have. Polyprop rope with chain hook and two lines back to fairleads then cleats. The polyprop is stretchy and works well as a snubber. Also stops the graunching noises of chain on roller
