THanks for the offer, CC, that's great.

Chris, you are right. You'd think any girl would jump at the chance to unwind a load of oily weed ridden rope in the cold dark waters of a foul smelling lagoon, but she kept taking sharp breaths and going 'Oh F@*& it's cold'.

She also moaned on the way back from Weston yestarday when her and Tigger were having a snooze in the cockpit and I got a wave over the bow and didn't warn her. I just thought it would be refreshing for them both.

I really do feel unappreciated sometimes.

Yes they did let me into the madhouse so you'll be seeing more of me. It wasn't too bad, the Commodore and Brian did the interview and gave me a bag of these round metal thingys, anyone want them?

Martin, it sounds like you had your hands full! There was something mentioned about a Wednesday night sail so we might pop down on Wednesday, weather permitting. It would be nice to do some cruising in company on weekends outside the Bay. We have been bringing the kids down, hopefully getting on the water tomorrow. Introduce yourselves if you pass Sunbeam as I've no idea who you all are /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.

Regards

Good stuff. Surprisingly, those metal things can be used in exchange for beer.

The Wednesday evening thing is a bit hit or miss. The sailing sec, James used to organise things, such as MOB drill, and first time lock procedure and so on. This was very useful to us raw beginners. I think he's been very busy, so about 4 or 5 of us have a bit of an informal sail, followed by a couple of drinks. We gradually started to get to know a few more people.

We had a few problems with the insurance then, gas and a leaking hull fitting, so missed a few weeks, but we try and get down most evenings now, bit of sailing, bit of maintenence.

We've actually locked out a grand total of 4 times now, so we are experts, we've only had the boat sideways on in the lock once, touched bottom in the channel once and have only once been seen shouting and panicking as we struggled against the tide at 1 knot on the way back, so there's not many better qualified than us.........

Louise and I are still away diving at the weekends, or rather, sitting in pubs around St Davids waiting for better weather, but we are around as many evenings as we can make it. Look for a bald bloke shouting at a blonde spinning around uncontrollably in a black tender with a scaredy looking black dog on board, or call Ishtar on 72......

Im going out for a sail tonight nice wind, under force 3 ,and also plan to shake the spiders out of the main and go for a blast in the Channel tomorro, weather permitting of course, if not i`ll come and watch you launch Sunbeam,,Martin you sound like your getting the hang of things, dont forget when you hit the putty make it look like you meant to do it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
