Hello All,

We own a share of a Princess 62 down in Mallorca. A number of you have been really kind to answer my questions on berthing in Soller and the West coast, with all the advice proving to be invaluable! Here is a short video I have put together of our first season. I can't help but think that a drone needs to be on my Christmas list.....

(Best viewed in HD (1080p60))

Happy boating.

Looks like you hag a great time , great video.
Do you crew it yourself ?

Thank you! We do crew ourselves. We find it very manageable with the two of us onboard. However, I think less so without a second responsible adult, so one person with elderly parents etc would be more problematic.....so figuring out how we might do that. Likely we'll ask someone to crew for us.

Thanks for sharing a great video.

Was it all shot down the West Coast of Majorca - if so where abouts, as that area is on our to do list next year...

Thank you!

The places in this video are Es Trenc, Cabrera Islands, Puerto Portals (home berth), Cala Blanca, Port d'Antratx, Cala Deia, Port de Soller and Sa Calobra. The west coast is truly spectacular, although very exposed with Soller being the only port. That said, Soller is a beautiful place to visit and the marineros at Marina Tramontana very helpful and friendly (although the price for an overnight berth is eye watering). Sa Calobra is breathtaking and well worth a visit. Cabrera (off the south coast) was also wonderful. We arrived on an evening with no wind, noting that the wind was going to pick up overnight. That it did, and we left at first light in a F4/5 and had a rather wet ride home to Portals before sitting out the wind that day and then heading up the west coast which was very sheltered for the rest of the week.

Ironically, although the west coast has a reputation for being exposed, we had planned to do the east coast, but the wind blew from the east the entire time, so we tore up our plans and headed up the west coast (having once read a post by Hurricane that the whole point of boating on an island is that you can always get out of the wind....). Some friends joined us onboard for a day and they had been up to the east coast earlier in the week and the lifeguards had stopped people from swimming because of the wind, so we made a good call I think.

Not too scruffy at all :)

The sound track is Kylie Minogue. Called "Light Years".

Isn't it funny, as a Princess owner so much of the other boats in the range seems familiar !

Henry :)

Excellent pop knowledge! Yes I agree - all Princesses now feel very familiar and also how they work.

Great video, watched it last night and looks like you had an awesome summer.

Yes you need a drone but watch out for a couple of forumites cos it might get shot down ;)

Subscribed ready to watch your next adventure....

Gah! That would be....most unfortunate....

Fantastic! It's vids like these that really make you want to just pack your boat on a ship and send it somewhere warm.

Great vid, thanks for sharing & looking for more! A very nice boat too.

great vid. I never seem to get round to making any vids when on the boat - something I must do.

I am sure I have seen the boat moored on the same pontoon as mine - pontoon 2, next to ritzi.
