Ostend W/E

That's interesting and both shmoo and clive confirm the wise morgana's comments to me last year that leaving around HW gives you a good kick out of Harwich. I think it also gives just a good push towards Ostend at the end of the trip looking at my Belfield tide plotter with tidal whatsits.

I feel knackered already!

Plan B now confirmed. Coming on the BH weekend and returning end of that weekend. Mr Beancounter doing the hard work both ways whilst skipper is stretched out in the sun /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Sorry to miss the festival but there is always next year on the way to a protracted stay in Holland with a bit of luck.

Just joined the forum and looking for new opportunities/challenges. CPD pointed me to the post and would love to join the trip to Ostend. I 'plan' to do it singlehanded, since I am looking to build some single handed experience for future Jester style adventures. Sailing a very pretty, but small Frances 26, my boat speed would see me playing tail end charlie. Have arrangments been finalised?
Regards,
Rigby Raine

As Roger says, nothing formal...

We tend to all tie up on the pontoon nearest the town in Montgomery dock, but then only if we can all fit, otherwise its only 50yds to the other pontoons!

If you make it, then come bang on the coachroof and say hello.... the more the merrier!
