I have a new pair of these that came with the jigsaw boat. any suggestions on how you mount the larger size? There's no flange/bracket/bolt hole.

Mine are just mounted on the inlet as you can see here

Ahah! Thank you, that makes sense, presume under the strainer in your pic there is a ball valve? Is the top of the strainer below the water line or above?

On PT the waterline was about an inch lower than the top of the strainer allowing the lid to be taken off without sinking the boat!

I wouldn't like to have a strainer like that fully below waterline...
If seacock is stuck open and you need to clean something in the filter you do have a problem...

Yes there is the skin fitting then a ball valve onto the body of the strainer, just don't have a photo to show. The water level is actually higher than the lid so I always need to shut off the valve top clean out. I agree this is probably not preferable but its how Riva designed the original ones!

Thanks. I think I might make up a bracket and mount them remotely.
