Orwell to limehouse

Did it last year with Independence of this parish. As you say, via Queenborough, there was a water taxi but the attractions were, shall we say, limited. Enjoyed Limehouse though.

Ditto - we also did it 2 yrs ago, overnight at Queensborough, leave an hour before low tide and carry the tide all the way. I would book a berth beforehand, had to get there on time as they seem to shut at 5PM... Nice & quiet though.

Definitely book Limehouse in advance.
TWO springers?! Got your work cut out there?! I guess that limits your hostelry options at Queenborough (only one queen by the way) otherwise I’d suggest good pub grub at the Flying Dutchman or something better at the Queen Philippa which is a longer walk up the main road.
Plenty of tips in ECP about the passage up the Thames.

They frequently have a meal deal evening ...............Stew and a pint etc.................................... with a choice of real ale or glass of wine.
Personally would rather stick pins in my eyes than drink "real ale" it looks and tastes like tepid dishwater passed though a rat . ?
They will supply a Peroni if no one is looking.(y)
They do a choice of pizzas most nights.
Right next door is tiny little cafe doing food all day no licence.
However, buy your beer/wine in the " Arm" nip out the back door and consume with your caff meal. :).
Perfick.

I don't like beer, as a youth I hated the taste but go hardened to it cos of peer pressure, stopped drinking for a while and tried a few gf ones recently (I'm coeliac) and they are all crap! Tried cider and all the nice ones are far too strong ;-) so back to orange juice and lemonade for me ;-)
