Orkney Coastliner inner bung

Hey guys,

Excuse my ignorance (it's my first boat) but what would be the purpose of this inner bung? The outer bung clearly lets water exit the boat entirely but I'm confused about this one. As you can see its wet in there, hoping this isn't a bad sign ?

The Coastliners have built in buoyancy, is there water in there? if you have a keelband check if it is leaking.

Yea definitely water in there. There is a keelband, it has a series of old screws down the length of it.

The easiest way to check, put the boat on its trailer, fill up the buoyancy chamber with water, see where it drips out.
