Been on the boat the last 4 days or so.
Used my Origo for the first time.
I must say it worked really well.
Base did not get very warm and my carbon monoxide alarm (the one a kind forumite posted a few weeks ago) never moved off zero.
3" gap left in the hatch for ventillation.

My boat is small so the only place it can go without getting kicked over is just by the compression strut at the forward end of my not very extensive sallon.

PITA to fill though.
:encouragement:

I suppose I mean it's not immediate like gas or an beer etc.
I use a washing up liquid bottle which means you can control the flow and it seals up nicely.

As you show it's basically a sponge in a tin.

I'm a bit timorous filling mine up I think. The destructions say fill with 1.2 ltrs which will last 5hrs , not bad.

I tend to put half of that in cos I feel the unused bit evaporates.
Ive never seen fluid when you tilt it like the image says.

I have made a rubber disc to fit over the cans opening to prevent this but I'm not sure how effective it is.

They are stupid money for what is as I've said , a sponge in agin with another tin on the outside.
if they were made in India they would be made of old bean tins for about 35p.

Do the job though and comparatively safe
