Allegedly they are like the twopenny bangers that we loved as kids, once lit, they fizz and water doesnt put them out, they wizz around the go bang on or near the surface, the orcas skedaddle allegedly.

Allegedly they are €18 for a pack of 5. A spanish person I know says its disgracefull the way the price has been hiked!

I doinged a pilot whale once along that coast.
Prout 31 catamaran, I was delivering the vessel from Helensburgh, Clyde, to Gib.
The interesting thing was I was doing about 2 knots under donk. We stopped dead when whale decided to impede. Except for the top of the mast that continued for a brief bit. I k ow this because the owner was at the top trying to re fit the forestay that fell down an hour or so before. Boat had been re rigged at a yard opposite the Berg and we strongly suspected that the clevis pin hadn't been fitted properly. Nothing wrong with forestay, just missing pin. It fell down gracefully. Unlike the squeals from the owner.
Luckily it didn't happen in the gales we encountered down the Irish Sea.
Spent ages trying to find something to do a fix in Figura de Foz. Got back to discover crew with initiative had got one from the next door yacht and fitted it...

I think there’s enough hints already. The rest you’ll have to work out. Naturally I’m assuming these bangers are bought for enjoyment and pleasure and never to be used for scaring wild animals.
