Optimistic Pricing ?

Dear Mr Old Git.

You have been knocking around these forums for years and have vast experience of boating. As an experienced boater and experienced in life I am wondering why you have chosen to think about buying a boat at possibly the worst time in recent memory................ Mind you I bought a Camper van recently and paid over the odds

Depends how long before they are under offer ?

Prices remain strong as theres still a shortage of boats…if you wanted to buy a bargain you’re a bit late to the party.

Three Score and Ten and salt water in the veins.

A good calculator could possibly count the life expectancy of someone with that advanced age in months
Boating time left in hours and then divide that by sunny days !.
Why looking to give somebody a fair wodge to buy a bigger hole in the water than my existing one.
Times arrow only goes one way and people keep on insisting you cannot take "it" with you. ?

Whats that quote about being lowered into your grave ? Wish I had had more ???????
:):):)

There is a quote that no one on their death bed says “I wish I’d spent more time in the office”
and one from this forum
“He who dies with the most toys wins”

I got £95k for my F33. Was underoffer within 1:30hr of it being live, Only took 4 days from listing to completion.

I paid £50k for it in december

Do you mean December 2021 if you do that is incredible and scary at the same time

Yep, completed a few weeks before xmas. Boat sold no surveys, sea trial or even a viewing!

Incredible. Having looked at F33;s pre madness in about 2018 I would say that £50k was a very good price when you bought it. Did you hold someone at gunpoint ?

No ?? The chap i brought it from was in his late 80's & barely used it the last few years due to Covid. he just wanted a quick sale

Personally I think prices will adjust a bit once air travel and foreign hols open up ..
que the “ no sh#t Sherlock “ comments haha

I thought that as well but now I wonder. I thought once new boaters found out the cost and some of the shall we say less glamorous sides of boating and the fact you tend to use it far less than you thought and that several smaller boats had been pulled out of the nettles and put back into circulation their might at some point be an over supply but I am not so sure now………… Time will tell hey Sherlock

Did you actually have a chance to take it for a spin…. If so what did you think
Yh i took it 200+ miles from Medway to Poole before shifting it on. The boat was alright, 25knt flat out, cruise 20. The boats light & you can feel the lightness when theres a side on breeze etc. the fly its a bit wobbly with side breeze. Its completely different to my Fairline

Interesting. I think I will stick with my little S24. That will do us
