Which series charts?

Thanks for the link, I've been looking for a download site for a while to update my charts. Which edition did you download? Did you use the free download system with all the eye-assault? And did it work ok?

2010 version, with the free download, no problems at all - try and get as many downloading at the same time to save time, I managed about 4 simultaneously. In all it's about 1.2gB as I recall.

Some of the other charts on the site are good and can be used in tandem on OpenCPN. Of course if you ever need USA, then the free ENC from NOAA are brilliant as you get the latest corrected version.

Good Luck

When you down load them you have to unzip the RAR file format using 7-ZIP or similar - put into a directory and point OpenCPN to them. If any problem with unzipping google RAR to get a suitable unzipper.

I've never had any problem.

Good luck

OK SO downloaded CM93ed3.Issue397.20

Now asks for password and the password given at the start of the download page does not work.
Any suggestions?

Yes, you have to use "CNF.SeaSoft" (without quotes).

As described on the SeaSoft site: "Most of archives are password protected. Use for unpacking the standard password: CNF.SeaSoft"

Worked for me.

How upto date are these charts? Ive an old copy of CM93 from 2005 (I think) and am using OpenCPN.
It would be nice to get some 2010 charts if this is the case. Can someone let me know?

Up to date CM93v2?

CMap are still updating this product, as some commercial vessels still have old ECDIS kit that requires it.

The most recent releases are May of 2009, and another one in January of this year (2010).

As with the older versions, these have found their way onto various peer-2-peer networks (bt, ed2k) and elsewhere.

Mike

I cannot find where the download is now. Have tired Googling. I seem to have missed part two of the downloads. Can you point me in the right direction?

Seasoft has done it again.. May 2010 available now

I've downloaded this new version but can't seem to get OpenCPN to recognize it. I extracted the rar, and named the folder CM93, but when I point OpenCPN to the folder in tools/charts, nothing seems to change. I just see a world map with blue outlines on the black background.

Any ideas what I may be missing? This is on a fresh install of OpenCPN on Vista64.
