Open cpn on Android

Hi All,

Can anyone help? I have Cmap charts for the world on my lap top... Can these be used on an android phone?

Perhaps there is a platform such as open cpn that could work?

Open CPN/Seaclear won't, Navionics for your Android, have to buy but inexpensive, but you probably already know that...

There is a developement of Open CPN which works on Android devices... but so far it will only work with raster charts.
So far, because getting the software, MX Mariner, to work with vector charts, such as Cmap, is work-in-progress.

MX Mariner is being picked up extensively in the USA where free charts are downloadable without any copyright issues.

OpenCpn is open source so I'm sure you can port it to java and the android ui sdk if you put your mind to it.
