How windy?
Last year we held off a day with a F7 forecast... this year in a bigger boat (IF!), i'd be more tempted.....
Anything above F5 for your boat, and i'd seriously contenplate delaying....
Its not just wind though.... after a few days of northerlies, the North Sea can get lumpy, so that needs factoring in....
Best sites for weather... do a search on here.... there are many... xcweather and windguru are two of my favourites... plus start looking at GRIBS for a bit of learning! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Had a look at the weather sites, very helpful. Didn't really know how to get into GRIBS, bit computer thick - do you have to pay for that one?

go to www.grib.us and download the application.... that'll let you get gribs quite easily...

Toying with the idea of doing the Mercator Trophy out of Levington, but would need to charter.
Have done three previously in the 80s. Now have new hips, so ready to go again!!

Since when was membership required... We used to race it while passing through from Hull to the Solent as a warm up.
Has it now gone semi-pro, or is it still just a strenuous gin run?
