Only A Virtual Boater, but I\'m Happy (so far...)

It's a sunny Saturday morning and I still don't have my dream boat yet (Fairline Targa 33) but I also don't have -
1. fouled props
2. contaminated fuel
3. dodgy electrics
4. a plundered bank account

I enjoy reading the bulletin board and learning about the joys (and otherwise) of being a boaty kind of person. I know chartering or syndicate ownership is probably the sensible option, but can I be happy without my own boat to fuss over? In the meantime I'm off to Penton Hook this afternoon to see what's going on and start planning for a Day Skipper course........

Yours aye

re.Happy so far...Soon put a stop to that.

Buy your own.
You will then be fully entitled to come on here and pick vitual fights with other posters while whinging and whineing at considerable length about how unfair life is overall to poor hard done by boat owners.

Re: Only A Virtual Boater, but I\'m Happy (so far...)

Up till this week I've been a virtual boater as well! had the boat more than 2 years, but have just this weekend completed a full restore (not that there was anything left to restore other than a GRP hull) - so next weekend it's time to get wet for the first time! I am so looking forward to loosing the virtual bit
Anyone got a spare crane? The boat is still in my back garden, it may be only 13 foot - I built it the way it was and fifty year old speed/race/ski boats are heavy!
