Leave the boat there, bus/train to Dublin then fly home. Take a week or long weekend break and drive out in your own vehicle to put her to bed and haul yer junk home.

Difficult to give an honest opinion as no idea of the 'worth' of them goods going to be transported ; BUT ; might it be better to buy the goods when in Ireland , cannot cost that much , eh ?

Insurance might not be the easiest thing to arrange.

It would entail taking out a 12- month commercial vehicle policy. Some of the questions on the proposal form would be awkward to answer truthfully. If all discrepancies regarding location and registration of the van versus residency of the owner were overcome, the price of the policy would, in my experience, probably be £500+, which would be lost, on disposal of the van, unless the OP transferred the policy to another van in ROI which, on the face of it, seems somewhat unlikely.

Perhaps find yourself a friend in the UK who would like a holiday in Ireland (with or without a short jolly out on your boat) and would be willing to bring your gear back with them, and make a non-commercial contribution to their costs?
