Wansy….if you refuse a boat that is being handed to you on a plate…people will begin to think you are not serious about getting a boatYep,saw that looks like a Marcon Sabre……NOW IF ITWAS IN Galicia !Whilst in Sada Imet a Galician who had just bought a westerly Centuar in Granada and it was trucked to Galicia ,looked very Good, sporting a Polish flag……at the momment thinking about the Benetaur with stuck keel!
Although it’s free it’s inthe UKWansy….if you refuse a boat that is being handed to you on a plate…people will begin to think you are not serious about getting a boat![]()
The cost of buying versus the cost of transporting ?Although it’s free it’s inthe UK
What is wrong with people these days? The cost of buying versus the cost of transporting ?
Still will have importing tax ,registration etc……and transportingfromtheUK would be costly I would think? The cost of buying versus the cost of transporting ?
The ideal worldBe funny if a HIAB rocked up and dumped a free boat at Casa Procrastinatos though wouldn’t it?
That’s IT!
WansyYou offer free storage for unwanted, gifted boats.
No fear of getting them wet or sticky keels or pesky anti fouling and bills.
And enjoy cockpit coffee and a lie down with fabulous Mountain Views.
And when it turns stormy you retire to the sofa and keep a weather eye outside with cats dogs wives, pretty good eh?
If life was so simple…..What is wrong with people these days?
get in it & sail it.![]()
It’s you that is making it all so complicatedIf life was so simple…..
To an extent yes but we all have restrictions that are determined by our life circumstances, Wansies are different than mine yours are different than those of Emmanuel Macrons. The trick is in both knowing and acknowledging them which Wansie seems to have accomplished. It’s you that is making it all so complicated

Are you saying that Wansy could pick up the boat and have his hip replaced at the same timeI think that's what TB would describe as "Free at the point of delivery.".
In my younger days Icould have set sail as I did without a care but having been on this forum I worry about my rigging breaking the rudder full of water, osmosis delamination, fuel bug….the list is endlessAre you saying that Wansy could pick up the boat and have his hip replaced at the same time![]()
As they say, there are old sailors…there are bold sailors…but there are no old bold sailorsIn my younger days Icould have set sail as I did without a care but having been on this forum I worry about my rigging breaking the rudder full of water, osmosis delamination, fuel bug….the list is endless![]()
If you set his own time to a cost greater than zero…it would start an argumentWansy's consideration is sound.
The total cost of aquiring AND operating boat is what counts.
We do set his own time to a cost of zero, but there are still costs to cover.
