One more knot and we will take you to court - Miserable Grumpy Poole Harbour Master

OP: The thing is, with your subsequent poll you've made it about the speeding alone. The issue here is isn't creeping a knot or two over the limit, it's about getting caught and instead of taking your telling off like a grown-up and amending your behaviour you've chosen to ignore the reprimand and somehow make it everybody else's problem rather than yours. Are you the same on the road?

But sir, other boys did it too!

Seems to me that Mr Bigplums has gone to ground and probably never wishes to view this thread again - I can understand that.

To beat the tide so that you can pull out up river in good time

Then perhaps you should have left a bit earlier if that's the case. Do you speed up the River Deben near Felixstowe? Speed limits are there for a reason and if you don't know what that reason is for then you really shouldn't be out there. How do you know the harbour master doesn't read these forums and if he doesn't then someone local is bound to say something. Mr Grumpy in your words may not have a name or registration of an unmarked boat but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out you drive a silver estate with a picture of your registration posted on another post about your broken wheel. And by the way I' stick to the limits.

OG has been tole off twice in the Thames. Once for wandering all over the river in a skintflint effort to cut corners and once for being far far too close to a Uberboat when going under a bridge near the Houses of Parliament., one/ both was a serious error of judgement and the telling off was fully justified.

He's started another thread (incredibly), desperately attempting to justify his poor seamanship.

Still no further details about the 'silly sod' harbour master's 'terrible attitude'. Colour me surprised.

As I find comments made by Mr Googler informative, witty and worth reading I clicked on the latest thread window and was immediately reminded why I have one individual from this forum on ignore. As he started this worthless thread I was until then in blissful ignorance. What a clown.
