one less big show

Car manufacturers are struggling, and I think there is worse to come.

It is very difficult for manufacturers to ascertain how many sales the Motor Show produces, in real terms showroom traffic does not increase during or after the Motor Show and the level of enquires received by dealers around the country is nominal. However what future consumer desire is built by manufacturers attending shows I guess may be found out later in the year....

Just one plea, if you are thinking of buying a car, do it now and make it a Honda!

Mmm, not sure whether the boat shows will be affected in the same way as boat shows are for selling whereas car shows are about marketing. All the same, I would expect many of the bigger builders/manufacturers to think very hard whether LIBS 2010 is worth being at although SIBS 2009 would probably still be well supported because visitor numbers are good and exhibiting costs are lower
