Anyway, more importantly Tristans' new covers have been delivered and fitted by Jeckells of Norfolk, reasonable price compared to others, some design improvements and decent people to deal with. Their initial 5/6 weeks to manufacture, second fit and final fit was a tad optimistic but even so within my gut feel estimate of 10 weeks, so pleased with the result.
The old girl deserved her new outfit....so did the boat lol
The river is a place to enjoy, if you want to get somewhere in a hurry, a train or a car would be a better bet. Or even a bicycle.
The flat-out brigade seem to be out in force this year, I suspect it's just the general descent into chavvery that our society seems hell bent on achieving...

On occasion, we need to get somewhere for a reason, and we use the full 5mph allowance. Only at this speed does the boats drinking exceed that of the crew
