One burner culinary delights....

Probably the most sensible answer to date. I only say that cos I love ginger cake in custard, and now drooling. You should really do a proper vanilla custard tho, not that crap from a tin or satchet
 
I agree with TonyD... get a pressure cooker.
As well as spuds meat'n veg in different compartments they are good for "one pot" grub based on rice, such as biryani, or spuds like balchao.
With these make one batch layered up with rice/spuds and your favourite meats/veg and eat away. Add more as the level goes down and you can survive for a week with one pan and no washing up.
Another plus with a pressure cooker is a sealing lid, so no spills. They are good too for storing dry goods, like powdered milk or sugar that you don't want getting damp and butane lighters which should be kept in a sealed container for safety.
Lakeland sell small pressure cookers if you don't want to lug around a domestic size one.
