We had a stroll along the prom at Playa Blanca this afternoon after I had been doing some boaty jobs in the marina. As is usual at this time of year, the marina is toppers with transients heading westward as the official Atlantic hurricane season draws its curtains for another year. The anchorage is very busy, some waiting to get in the marina as others depart.

Of course it's nearly ARC time too.

Interesting you speak of ARC

We have just had the ARC RTW arrive in Richards Bay after a sail across the Indian Ocean onward to Cape Town

with a boat from the UK who contacted me for help with charts of the SA Coast and a couple from Galicia in Spain

And total shock horror knock me down with a wet kipper, catamarans with windows in their hulls!:eek::eek:
When did they start selling wet kippers in Playa Blanca?

Last time we were there the village just reached the church, looking at Google Earth it has grown a wee bit.
