Oldgit on the Thames?

Hi,Howard.
Back home on Saturday to avoid incoming weather. Left Shepperton 9am and arrived back at Rochester at 8.00 on the dot.
Only real lumps were off Garrision Point, wonderful week with excellent weather made it up to Sonning.
Only got told off three times in locks.
Once for being bit keen to get into a lock, waited for ages just to make sure lock was empty and some olde geriactic Thames mariner was still making up his mind as to which end was out.
Twice for tieing off ropes as lock was emptying.

Ps.........just how many more narrow boats will fit onto the Thames ? Lots parked below Sonning and appear they have been there for some time. Also noticed an increase in the sheer size of some of them.
Only whinge, went for Indian in Cookham High St.No starter no coffee,£75.00 for two !!! Argh. ..house wine £22.00. You lot must be minted up there.

Best grub..Italian Concept at Runnymead, fed 6 adults and 2 x grankids all in with starter + coffee and couple of bottles of wine for £150.00
