Old style Fairline Targa 48

No not yet. Not decided definitely but interested in the T48

Clive, Deleted User had one but didn't like it (lots of canvas and lots of bits falling off). But Mike is too old for sportscruisers so this needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

However, I seem to recall that it was Sam Newington's favourite boat.

Pros are a relatively narrow hull for a 48ft boat so great handling and potentially cheaper berthing costs. Of course this gives less internal accommodation (but they did squeeze in two aft cabins as you will have noticed).

It's one of the few FL's that I would spec a white hull (looks better IMO).

As was told Sam Newington favorite boat was the Targa 38/39 he had three total two 38s and one 39 which was his last boat. I think this is the white one late 95 build currently for sale in SoF.
Sam Newington also loved a lot the T42 and 41 hulls but he was always a bit pennies guy so always liked the economies the stern drives offered.
The Targa 38 hull was used for the T40 and then the newer 38, and many say it is the best stern drive hull Fairline ever did. May be this is subjective cause with the exception of the 44 it is also the largest.
