Old standing rigging

I'm feeling very virtuous having replaced all my standing rigging and lifelines.

My question is this........just what can I do with the old rigging. It seems too good to throw away!

All I can think of so far is to make a theft proof (or at least make it harder to steal) means of tying up my tender. I could even pad lock it onto the pontoon cleats

Any other ideas?

If it was old enough to need replacing why do you want to keep it?

Unless like me, you are a squirrel who just HATES to throw anything away, and has enough useless junk stored in the shed to run an entire Boat Jumble.....

Hanging in my workshop is a full set of shrouds, forestay and backstay that I changed out from my GK29 in 1990 (?). And another complete set, this time from my Sadler, changed out in around 1994. Perhaps they'll come in handy one day.....
