I'm renovating a Johnson 3HP outboard (circa 1976). It wasn't working when I got it but now that I've replaced all the electrics I can get it to start and run for a minute or so. Then it stalls and I'm fairly sure that the mixture being too rich is causing it. Does anyone have experience of tuning a Johnosn Carb from this era as I can't see how to reduce the mixture?
PS the mixture screw for slow running is shut when it stalls
