Old chart plotter playing up.

Our trusty Garmon 451s playing up in that it won't change scale up or down. It just freezes and then has to be switched off and back on.
Has anyone had/ resolved this problem.?
Whats the best simple replacement for it please? The small screen is fine . We can receive AIS but I guess one tht transmits as well.would be good.
Cactus did one at a good price years ago.

Budget end plotter would be Garmin Echomap (don't buy the 5", it doesn't support AIS), Raymarine Eelement or Onwa. As far as i know, Onwa is the only one that has models that include AIS, worth a look.

Various others such as Matsutec have built in AIS as well as ONWA ... along with free K Charts ...
