Hi all,
Just hoping someone could shed some light on this.
I have an old Autohelm 2000 analogue tiller pilots that has been faultless for years. Sadly the other weekend a member of crew managed to stand on the wiring and pull them out of the compass unit. I am struggling to find out where they go back in.
Two of them are for the ram and another two have come out of the little four pin plug on the PCB.
I guess if i get the ram wires the wrong way round then it will just try and steer the wrong way, but the others i want to get right incase damage is caused during power up?
Any help would be really appreciated.
Regards

Is this like yours? It is a 2000.

Theres an elderly chap in my boatyard that decided to fit new cable on his autohelm 2000 earlier this year, and being colourblind, he wrote all the colours down wrong when he cut them !!

I have spent ages trying to get it rewired and working for him again, but with no luck as i couldnt find any diagrams either, so if you could pm me as well, i and the elderly chap who broke his, would appreciate it

Will do. I have the complete 'service manual' but unfortunately the useful bits are A3 fold-outs which makes scanning messy. One day I'll get around to loading the whole thing up to my website.....I'm sure AutoHelm won't be too bothered by now .... though I remember paying them an arm-and-leg originally for the manual :D

(Edit: and I wonder if Derek is still around and follows the forum).

Anyone with a decent graphics program can stitch the scans back together. I'm more than happy to do it for you if you PM me an email address so we can make contact. The scans should ideally overlap by about 50% in each direction, so A3 needs 3 passes on an A4 scanner.

Thank you all for your support. I think the pictue from 2Tizwoz may be the digital one which I believe is newer than mine. The one I have has a tread wheel and a couple of mice!!
If it would help, I have access to an A3 Scanner. I could scan and return?

Nigel, thanks for the offer. PM sent.

Paulonboard and TopDonky: Please PM me with your email addresses and I will send you the wiring harness diagrams which I think is what you need. May be a day or two due to the hols.

Have just spotted this thread. My trusty Autohelm 2000 has just died. Could it be that you have a copy of the manual including circuit diagrams? I'm busy trying to draw them out but its taking some time. I would appreciate some help
