Fingers crossed I am taking SWMBO in the morning to see the yacht I am thinking of getting, & to get the blessing on my (apologies OUR) new toy.

She is a Nich. 303, circa. 1980, with a reasonable amount of kit on her, but the standing & running rigging will need to be replaced, plus a few other 'Hopefully' cosmetic jobs.

She has a North Genoa furling, which looks a bit shagged, any thoughts on a replacement & cost?

I will be getting a survey, but is there anything major I should look at??

Anyone have any experience of this Yacht? comments would be most welcome.

Thanks

poter.

I'm sure that Yachting World did a report on this. Reason I know is that when I was buying my Jeanneau Rush, they also had a report and compared the two, as they were both by Ron Holland and 'launched' at the same time.

In the report of the Rush, the reviewer wondered which would prove to be the most popular in the long run. There were more than 600 Rushs produced. Dont know how many Nic 303s.

Worth check for Boat reports from YM or YW.
