[/ QUOTE ] Don't panic! Wipe up the excess with kitchen paper. Now squirt over some washing up liquid and warm water which will get rid of the surface oil. Don't scrub. In time the sub-surface oil will just be absorbed and you won't know it had ever happened -- almost certainly well before the season starts. Next time, if you are doing anything with a risk of oil or fuel spillage, soak the deck area with water first. The oil tends to float off and a bit of washing-up liquid will clear it.
