My Broom 38 has a Teleflex Morse hydraulic steering system and the system needs topping up. Any ideas which oil to use as the TM website only recommends exotic aviaton type products which have no results on a web search?

Probably the closest oil to the aviation stuff is Hydraulic oil 15VHVI (Very High Viscosity Index). This is a thin hydraulic oil that keeps thin across a wide range of temperatures - it is also used for forklift trucks in cold stores.
Beware using transmission fluids or thicker hydraulic fluids otherwise you could find your steering going very stiff!
You should be able to get 15VHVI oil from your local Pirtek Hose Centre. Phone 0800 382438.
