oil again

Did you know that Castrol used to do a storage oil !!
Because, certainly on older engines with white metal bearings the acids that were in the oil used to eat away at the bearings.While the boat was laid up for winter storage oil was put in, the engine run up to temp then left until the spring .
I bet it's still available .

It is still available! We use it in the oilfield for laying up engines and equipment for long periods on platforms etc. Don't know where it comes from now, but as the add says "I know a man who does" I'll find out.
