"The problem a lot of us raggies have with the forum burgee is that we fly it from the cross-trees and the detail is too fine up there" [unquote]
Nonsense! The problem EVERYONE has with the Forum burgee is that it's an insipid design on the wrong material not even properly toggled.
Which is why I rejected it - after copying it as a rectangular pennant which can be flown as a house flag (doesn't usurp club burgee), is larger (identifiable), lighter (flutters in the breeze) and toggled (fits signal halliard) - and MoBo's can fly it on a jackstaff if they so wish.
Hardly rocket science young Tom - I'm surprised you didn't think of it.
Nonsense - not EVERYONE has a problem with it. for the few times it gets flown, and considering they are made and sold as a favour in somebody's spare time, toggles and material are hardly an issue.
I think the original mouse drinking out of a wineglass is quite a clever design. SB on a pennant could be interpreted in many different ways as this thread has shown.
Also the mouse design fits mobos and yachties equally. We all spend (too much)time playing with computer mice and quite a few are fond of a tipple now and then. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
As to the type of cloth ,toggles etc lifes too short to fret over trivia.
