If there's no wind at all then you don't have anything much to worry about. If there is some wind then you need to get the boat moving again - backing the headsail should enable you to pivot turn the boat and then you could gain headway, gybe and reach out to the greater pressure.

As you were hard on the wind when you lost pressure, the cliff can't be dead downwind, so a broad reach on the appropiate tack would take you away from the cliff

Been fun though... I always enjoy thrashing ideas like these around.... they make for a better sailor, as it forces you to really think about 'why and what'........ Thay are a lot easier to answer when you've written the question around 1 particular issue/problem yourself though!
