I've been trying to update my ships radio licence on the website. Unfortunately I've forgotten my password. I used the 'forgotten your password' link and got message that a link had been sent to my registered email - it hasn't arrived after a day. I'm going to do it the old fashioned way and ring them up if I can find the number.

Been here, got the tee shirt :(

From the Ofcom website :
If you previously registered on the old portal using your email address as the username please re-register using the same email.

If you can't remember or have changed your email please contact us so we can update your details to allow you to register.

Phone details :
If you want advice, or to complain to Ofcom, please call us on 0300 123 3333 or 020 7981 3040, or if you want to complain in Welsh, 020 7981 3042. We are open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Edit : In short, re-register as if you were a new user, use the same email address and it will all work again, no need to phone.

Do ring them - they are surprisingly helpful and efficient for a public organisation.

Forgive the irritating question, but I presume you've checked your spam?

Paul, I've tried the re register button but when I tried to enter my details got the message ' that email address is already used" (or similar) so it's phone for me. Thanks for the number.

You are right!

I did not think that would work ... but it does ... no need to phone..... Thanks for posting that.

In the end I didn't ring them. After having found the link to reset my password in my Spam folder, it was comparatively straightforward to enter my details.
The 'equipment' page had me baffled for a while but I eventually twigged that I needed to select the equipment from the list and press the 'ADD' button. This copied the selected item to the list of installed equipment.
Next was the alteration of my details on the mcga site for my CG66 registration. Straightforward apart from changing the photo from old boat to new one. This involves 'resizing' as there's a limitation of 135kb on the size that can be uploaded. Apparently this can be done in Windows 10 but as a novice with W10, will involve more research or possibly trial and error. (I did ring them up to tell them that the photo is not of Lapwing, I couldn't just delete it)
