Oceanis 361 Main Sheet length

Hi, I was planning to change the main sheet on our Oceanis 361.
However we are in the UK, Boat is in France so cannot measure at the moment. Does anyone have an idea of the length of Sheet required?

That reminds me I must measure the length of the main sheet, the only length of rope I've never measured on the boat.

I don't, but you could probably get a reasonable approximation by visualising the boat on a run with boom fully out and estimating the distances between blocks plus the tail back to the cockpit. Then add a bit!

I already have tried to estimate by looking at one of our previous videos and come up with 20 m plus .
But just how much Plus ? We already have quite an excess on our existing main sheet. My guess would be 22m

All the Running Rigging Specs are listed in the Owners Manual if you have it . You might find it online or phone an agent

I have the Owners manual downloaded, but unfortunately it does not show the length or diameters of sheets needed. Sheet Diameters is not a problem

That would be my advice, too. Another alternative, search for one for sale near you and ask the broker if you can measure it.

The 361 is a lovely boat. I had one for 8 years and I have a pal half way through a single handed RTW adventure in his.

I live in Hertfordshire so not very close to a dealer to measure.
